Spent some time exploring the Carlsbad Tide Pools. Saw a sea slug and a giant crab. Also found a shark jawbone, but a toddler actually walked up and took it from me. I got duped by a 2 year old.
Some selfies to document my last day in this lil office. It’s very bittersweet 🥺 I worked here for four years, and some of my coworkers have become very dear friends. Change is scary but it’s also necessary to move forward if something is calling you.
The one, the only. Obi. We’re gonna name our place “Obi’s ranch” and put a little sign out front. We will fill the acres with chickens, goats, and a giant tortoise (adopted - please don’t buy a baby tortoise). Dinners will be fresh salad with veggies from the garden. The things I daydream about. (But we’re working on it.)
Last night we celebrated with a lovely date night and a bottle of Champagne. I accepted a job as a full-time content writer!
A foggy morning.
These dogs are harbingers of chaos but they also invite some good energy and make me wanna get out of bed every morning. I’m happy they love each other and I’m also happy to be loved by them. Not as happy to somehow find dog hair in my paint drawers or between my teeth. But I’ll survive and continue to cherish them for another day. Dogs are honestly the best.
